How to Use My 1989 Lecture Notes on Encryption, Signatures and Crypto-protocols

چکیده
This document is written to complement my 1989 lecture notes on Encryption, Signatures and Cryptographic Protocols. In it I sketch what I believe should be done when trying to use these notes as part of a course on Foundations of Cryptography. In addition, I also indicate what I believe should be done in order to augment the material so that it can t into a comprehensive book on Foundations of Cryptography.

Design of crypto primitives based on quasigroups
Today, the security of the modern world is undoubtedly dependent on the cryptographic primitives built into the various protocols used for secure communication. Let us mention here the most important, like block ciphers, stream ciphers, digital signatures and encryption schemes, hash functions, pseudo random number generators, ... The design of these, and many other crypto primitives, uses di e...
متن کاملPractical Verifiable Encryption and Decryption of Discrete Logarithms
This paper addresses the problem of designing practical protocols for proving properties about encrypted data. To this end, it presents a variant of the new public key encryption of Cramer and Shoup based on Paillier’s decision composite residuosity assumption, along with efficient protocols for verifiable encryption and decryption of discrete logarithms (and more generally, of representations ...
متن کاملShorter IBE and Signatures via Asymmetric Pairings
We present efficient Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) and signature schemes under the Symmetric External Diffie-Hellman (SXDH) assumption in bilinear groups; our IBE scheme also achieves anonymity. In both the IBE and the signature schemes, all parameters have constant numbers of group elements, and are shorter than those of previous constructions based on Decisional Linear (DLIN) assumption. Ou...
متن کاملProvable Security in Cryptography
These lecture notes are a compilation of some of my readings while I was preparing two lectures given at EPFL on provable security in cryptography. They are essentially based on a book chapter from David Pointcheval called “Provable Security for Public Key Schemes” [24], on Victor Shoup’s tutorial on game playing techniques [30], on Coron’s Crypto’00 paper on the exact security of the Full Doma...
متن کاملFactors affecting students tendency of Univercity students to Lecture Notes
Introduction: Many studies detected factors contributing to the students’ tendency to lecture notes. This study aimed at evaluating the factors affecting students tendency to lecture notes in Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this descriptive study, 179 students from medicine, nursing & midwifery, health, and Paramedicine schools were selected through stratified random...
